A group of 12 persons working for Casira (French initials for Friendship Center of International Solidarity of the Appalachian Region), a charity organization, which aims to help and support non-privileged communities in developing countries, came to help us in Dak Nong and HCMC. The group of 12 Canadians arrived on December 11th, 2019 and has undertaken different kinds of work at our new Social Center: gardening and cleaning tasks in order to prepare for the inauguration on 14th December, funding and making gardening tables adapted for disabled people… The Canadians have worked hard long hours under the hot Vietnamese sun, with a big smile and good mood.

After a few days visit in Dalat and in the South of Vietnam, it was now the turn of the Take Wing Center to receive a second life. The Casira delegation funded for the painting of the walls and the renovation of the glazed roof, both requiring some remedial work. For 2 weeks, they had been busy with the paint striping and painting of the walls, the floor cleaning and the renovation of the glazed roof that for some time, had been letting water enter at some places. Thanks to the devoted group, our center is ready to withstand the upcoming rainy seasons. They have worked closely with our employees and have helped each other a lot: some wonderful sharing moments!

From now on, thanks to the kitchen garden adapted for people using wheelchairs, who are brought to Social Center in Dak Nong, the beneficiaries can directly contact with nature and actively participate the life at the Center. The crops are used for the meals at the Center and therefore, they contribute directly to the operation of the center, thus providing them the sense of usefulness.

The funding and the work of the delegation of Casira have greatly helped Maison Chance and the beneficiaries. We would love to give a warm gratitude to the 12 Canadian friends and Casira for their precious help and their good deeds and hope to continue to benefit their kind aid programs.
