At the present time, we need:

> a qualified physiotherapist

> a qualified occupational therapist

These missions are for a 6-month duration.

Maison Chance is looking for qualified volunteers who have professional experience in the fields of mission defined below.

The duration of the stay in Vietnam should be at least 6 months. The candidate needs to demonstrate flexibility and availability, as well as an excellent ability to adapt. All our volunteers must take Vietnamese courses before they begin their volunteer assignments, in order to familiarize themselves with a language quite different from their native one.

For practical reasons, we are not able to welcome trainees.

Maison Chance proposes the following missions:

Language teaching: French and English are taught at the Take Wings Center.

French is taught to our handicapped participants and to the staff. The students are divided into classes according to their levels, from beginner to advanced.

English is taught to the children, most of whom are beginners. There also is an evening class at the Maison Chance shelter for the handicapped participants.

Vocational training: The fields of the vocational training are sewing, drawing, data processing and working with bamboo. These courses are provided to handicapped participants and street children.

Note: A good knowledge of Vietnamese is required in order to teach computer skills.

Medical field: Medical work at Maison Chance includes management of the pharmacy and medication, providing care and treatment of bedsores, urinary infections, as well as small problems of everyday life. This work is performed in collaboration with the referring doctor of Maison Chance.

The majority of the patients are para- or quadriplegic teenagers or adults. We welcome doctors, nurses as well as occupational and physical therapists.

This list of missions is not exhaustive. We are currently reviewing all the proposals and input received.

If you are interested in volunteering with us in Vietnam, please complete the following questionnaire corresponding to the mission you are interested in. After that, please send it with your resume and a cover letter to Anne-Laure, Maison Chance volunteers’ manager, at the following address:
